Tanya Lown
Tanya Lown Designs www.tanyalowndesigns.com

Tanya has had two professional loves all her life: teaching and being creative. As a young girl, she found her calling in education when she taught her brother math. She went on to earn her Ph.D, teach in college and high school, and head the
Southern Division of Training and Development of the largest bank in Arizona. She spearheaded the creation of Money and You, a program taught in middle schools for many years, coached the Junior Achievement Bank Company to second place twice and was repeatedly published in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. She has
also been president of various education related organizations. Tanya used her educational interests during this time, teaching and creating training programs and materials both in banking and in the school system. Her goal is and has always been to make learning fun and easy to understand and this goal drives her to continually look to better herself as she seeks to perfect learning for others.

Once retired, Tanya found her creativity drawn to an interest she had since 9th grade – silversmithing. After taking several classes in 2011, she was introduced to Precious Metal Clay (PMC®) and hasn’t looked back. Tanya loves continually learning and sharing what she learns. As she continues to grow in her metal clay explorations, Tanya has received recognition for her work in galleries, the Alchemist’s Guide to Creativity, at competitions, and in the 2020 calendar of the Alliance for Metal Clay Arts Worldwide, She is a certified Principal Instructor for Camp PMC and a certified medal clay artist in PMC® with Rio Grande, certified in Art Clay® by Art Clay World USA. Her work is showcased on her website, at Elegant Beads Gallery , and at the Cactus Wren Artisans Gallery where she offers classes upon request.

"My greatest joy comes from helping others realize their dreams and their potential." ~ Tanya Lown

June LeClair
www.Facebook.com/MoonliteCreations

Leaving New York in 2000 June LeClair had a long career in telecommunications and freelanced as an artist showing in juried shows and working on numerous art projects in the Northeast.  Moving to Arizona gave her an opportunity to focus on her artistic skills leading her to earn a degree in Advertising Art with honors. Not letting this be her final destination in art, she explored other art forms earning several program certifications.  So when this versatile artist was introduced to Metal Clay in 2007 it is no surprise she would expand into jewelry design.

It didn’t take long for her to explore the different art organizations of Tucson volunteering her time and skills. After a few years of producing various publications, websites, commissioned artwork, artisan jewelry and participating in art shows and teaching for clients and organizations, it finally gave way for her to create a space for herself.

This search for her space led her to the Historic Downtown Arts District at the Steinfeld Building. Here she created “Moonlite Creations Gallery & Studio” a unique space showcasing her diverse art with other local artisans she promotes.  The space has given her the opportunity to create a space for classes, share her knowledge and still be able to organize various art events and shows.

"No matter the skill level, there is a creative expression everyone has to offer.  You can’t be afraid to experiment. Use all your knowledge and keep learning, then use what works for you, expanding your creativity."   ~ June LeClair
